I finally got around to playing this game, I know that the "newer version" is out but one of my subscribers asked me to play this one! I loved it! Honestly for a 48 hour jams this game was really well put together and rather fleshed out. If it wasn't for the "time limit" per se, I would've really liked it to be longer (I don't know, I think that I just really enjoyed playing as a babysitter to a demon baby 😂)

You could try reinstalling the latest version of Direct X on your machine. You can find information here. It sounds like that file is corrupted in some way on your machine. Have you had issues running other graphics programs (games, etc)?

That's quite the failure point. But it'll likely be something to do with your graphics card. Please make sure your drivers are up to date. What GPU do you have?
My guy, please fix your game. Everyone is getting the same error message, and I have a feeling this is the fault of the developers. I watched LaurenZSide play it and it looked fun, so I really want the game to load.
Didn't expect me to like this game as much as I did. Having a simple plot with simple tasks to do really made me interested and wanting more, granted the game isn't really that long, maybe a 10 minute playthrough on your first run, still a really impressive linear story 9.5/10.

So I did all the work, and as I was trying to open the exe file, the '.exe' wasn't even there. It was just GMTK2020, is there anyway to fix this?
Just the folder or the file? If you don't have file extensions visible then you won't see ".exe".

Everytime I try to launch the application it says "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine."
The game is probably made from unreal engine. You need to upgrade your os to windows 10 so it can go to DX12, more powerful graphics.

Update your hard drives and hardware or get a better gpu with direct x 12

how do i play
I have a bit of a problem with installation, when I try and run the program it tells me a file is missing,
I reinstall the zip and nothing worked
any thoughts?
What file does it say is missing?
It said one of the dll's was missing in not too sure which dll it was but it was a dll dealing with the 3d engine
i'm going to try and reinstall it if i get the error again ill send a screenshot of the file that is missing
