The horror is tone down compared to other games. The jump scares are light, if they can even be called jump scares since being startled is accomplished mainly by sound. On a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being absolutely frightening, I'd rate this a 3.
I had the old original jam version downloaded, and didn't realize the devs had updated it since. I didn't want to re-record the gameplay because my reactions wouldn't have been authentic. Since the original didn't have music, I edited in soundtrack and several music cues to make it a bit more interesting.
I enjoyed his game despite not being much with gameplay. The lack of jump scares actually makes it enjoyable because of the mere anticipation of them, especially when the actions become repetitive. Check out my gameplay and watch how soundtrack heightens the overall tone of the game. Any support you drop is appreciated!
you could make the game scarier like parts where he walks in the cealing he could have an drinking animation when you give him a bottle more rooms in the house and a purpose to the locked room and a basement with a passage to hell that only opens in the final chapter also this game could have more chapters and jumpscares
i love this even though i didnt play it because when i went to a different page of the game at the top it said return to nightmare fuel now i cant stop laughing
This was a great game is was executed very well even for being created in a 48 hour game jam. It paced it self nicely and had a odd comedic feel to it that was very much appreciated. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they can do and I recommend that you play it for yourself .
LOL this was actually a lot more fun than expected. Being able to shake the baby and drop him was both fun and sad at the same time... which made it even more hilarious for me. Here's the vid I made from it if you wanna watch it.
i was able to play the first night, but something odd happens on loading the second. the screen goes black for a while and then the words "night 2" show particularly off screen then nothing happens.
This was the perfect mixture of silly and spooky. I enjoyed it very much and I am also never going to babysit a demon as I suspect the outcome would be similar to this game.
Imagine if the baby chased us... I played this on an episode of Fright and it was the first game out of the three - it gave me a few jumpscares, but I played Train 113 on this episode and nothing tops Asian horror.
This baby really did only want to be fed, so what did we learn? Always feed your baby. No but seriously now, this game was great. I made even an entire video about it. If your curious you can check it out.
This why you wear protection. Your baby might be a demon child and instead of the usually cry, whin, feeding, pooping, the child does something else. The baby sitter did not get paid enough to baby sit this demon baby. Or did the parent purposely hire baby sitters as a sacrifice to the baby?
Pros and cons are down below) Check out my vid (the game is the 1st one there):
Advantages:
1. The game has good spooks, it was terrifying! I think that is awesome!
2. The visuals are amazing! The game looks and feels so nice! I think you can make a bigger game out of this. A full version of the story.
3. I really liked this differentiation on chapters, though I didn't understand why we start from Act 1 Chapter 2 (was that intentional?). I would like more chapters! Maybe it would be cool if you'd develop this into the full game and the player could see the baby grow up. (The game would be like reverse Lucifer game, you'd have to spy on the baby and stop their actions). That or something like that would be awesome! You're so talented!
Disadvantages:
1. There are a number of minor details that I didn't like: 1] In the reflection, you can see the baby looking at you, though it's back is turned to the mirror. So strange. 2] In the third chapter if you go for the baby first and then to the TV, the baby starts crying and you can calm them down BUT you still have to go upstairs to switch off the lights and close the door, though the baby is downstairs. 3] You can switch kitchen lights on and off being on the other side of the wall. That's it, I guess.
2. Maybe it would be cool to add different endings. For example let the player take the talisman (after using it once) upstairs - the baby teleports there anyway, and then you live. Or the ending when you can just leave the house and then the parents sue you. I would like different endings a lot!
Overall:
I liked that a lot! 5/5. This game definitely deserves more attention.

Something went wrong with my previous upload of this video so I had to upload it again!
As for the game, it was really fun to play! Funny and a bit scary at the same time. The jumpscares had me good too. 😂
